A selection of the creative items hand made in southern Africa within the support groups supported by Designing Hope: Original artworks from Artists4life, Poems embroidered on framed canvas from Le Fil Des Mots, and objects designed by fashion designers (Fashion Designing Hope project). This selection reveals the quality and creativity of the work, both contributing to the sustainability of these activities, and bring great comfort and pride to the populations involved.

Fashion Designers support women affected by HIV
This section presents the latest achievements of "Fashion Designing Hope". Since 2003, nearly one hundred have contributed to this project to design original objects helping women supported by Designing Hope in southern Africa. These income-generating activities, set up in South Africa and Swaziland in support groups for people with HIV started with a decorating lightbulb project, and expanded over the years to several activities such as beaded jewelry, wire and beadwork, mosaics, sewing, weaving and embroidery.

15 fashion designers create a square design that will be framed in metal and transformed into psych mirrors. These mirrors will be auctioned on the 28th of November 2007 at Espace Pierre Cardin.

Lanvin soft figurines embroidered in Swaziland
Figurines Lanvin - Collection 2013 - 2014 Alber Elbaz has entrusted the association the manufacture of figurines and their dresses, miniature replicas of the "Lanvin Petite" collection of the prestigious fashion house. On sale from November in all the shops and outlets distributing "Lanvin Petite".

Designs created by famous Fashion Designers to support women affected by HIV and sold to the benefit of Designing Hope.This section presents an overview of the creation imagined by fashion designers and hand-made by women supported by Desiging Hope. Aubade lingerie pouch sewn and embroidered in Swaziland
Following a previous collaboration at the "International Lingerie Fair" in 2010, Aubade has decided once again to support Designing Hope and drew a Lingerie pouch sewn and hand embroidered by women of association in Swaziland.

Lanvin soft figurines embroidered in Swaziland
Lanvin renews its support to Desining Hope and proposes four limited edition soft figurines, hand-made by women living with HIV-Aids in Swaziland, to mark the launch of its girls wear collection. These soft figurines, will be on sale as of November in all LANVIN boutiques and retail outlets that carry the Lanvin Petite line.

La Mode Dessine l'Espoir
Lightbulbs conception
Since 2003, 60 big names in fashion have come together against HIV/AIDS in Africa by designing Ithemba lightbulbs. The lightbulbs are then hand-made by South African women living with AIDS: coloured and decorated with silicon, thin wire and beads to become real sculptures. La Mode Dessine l'Espoir
Mobilization of fashion designers
"La Mode Dessine l'Espoir" started 2003. More than 60 well-known fashion designers have supported the project by drawing a personalized light bulb. These light bulbs have been hand decorated by women living in the townships surrounding Cape Town.

Fashion Designing Hope in KaDeWe Berlin
For "La Mode Dessine l'Espoir" (Fashion Designing Hope) mobilizing more than 60 fashions designers, Dessine l'Espoir and Ithemba organised a Christmas exhibition in 2006 in the KaDeWe in Berlin. The exhibition showed the designer lightbulbs and an exclusive model created specially for the occasion.
