Exhibition of Embroidered poems
A joint Designing Hope / "Le Printemps des Poètes", project, this is an exhibition of french poem embroidered by HIV + women in Swaziland, presented in the cultural windows of ligne 14 of métro. With the support of Bristol Myers Squibb.

This exhibition is a unique occasion to read french poetry in an original way. It also supports a community of women highly affected by the pandemia, in Swaziland, as it involves them in an income generating activity. This project will also sensitize the French audience to the problem of the HIV-AIDS in general in Southern Africa.




THE POEMES

"Le Printemps des Poètes", a french insitution aimimg at promoting poetry has selected the texts to be embroidered.

Additionnaly 15 artists and fashion designers have interpreted a verse that has also been fully hand embroidred by the women.

THE EXHIBITIONS

From the 1st december 2009, a lighter version of this exhibition has been presented in 3 hospitals in Paris (Bichat, Saint Louis and Saint Antoine).

The complete exhibition will be launched at "Maison de la Poésie" in Paris in March 2010.

The exhibition of embroidered poems was conducted in collaboration with the Poetry Festival:"Printemps des poètes", with the contribution of artists and fashion designers, and the support of Bristol Myers Squibb.

Fashion Designing Hope A Square of Hope Auction
15 fashion designers create a square design that will be framed in metal and transformed into psyché mirrors. These mirrors will be auctioned on the 28th of November 2007 at Espace Pierre Cardin.
